Du Punk à la Soul en passant par le Gospel, il n’y a qu’un pas. Cécile Andrault l’a franchi sans complexe. A 13 ans, elle casse des micros sur scène avec les groupes Punk de sa ville de province, Lorient. A 15 ans, elle claque les portes du conservatoire et de son cours de chant lyrique. A 20 ans, par une belle soirée d’été, l'enfant rebelle entend pour la toute première fois Lullaby of Birdland, célèbre standard de Jazz, dans la demeure familiale de Philippe Delacroix Herpin, alors saxophoniste de JJ Goldman. C’est la voix de son épouse, Monika Limba, chanteuse réunionnaise, qui résonne dans la bâtisse, douce et envoutante. Cécile Andrault, sous le charme, l’accompagnera en tant que choriste pendant 3 ans, assurant les 1ère parties en métropole de Danyel Waro. Elle chantera désormais la douceur: après des études de littérature, elle tourne en France et à l’étranger avec différents groupes de Jazz, découvrant l’improvisation et la scène. C’est peu après la mort de sa grand-mère, très croyante, qu’elle replonge dans ce qu’elle a renié en bloc jusqu’ici : sa foi chrétienne. S’y reconnectant, elle pose ses valises dans sa ville natale et y crée le chœur Gospel « Sounds of Freedom » dont elle est à ce jour cheffe de chœur. Elle sort fin 2020 son 1er album « Little light of mine » parrainé par Max Zita, pionnier du Gospel en France. Un 1er opus de reprises Gospel/Soul annonçant la sortie d’un EP de compositions personnelles en anglais & en français pour fin 2021. Voix, chœurs, piano et arrangements sobres, elle chante l’urgence d’être, d’aimer et de croire. Croire en soi, en l’être humain, au nouveau monde qu’il nous faut construire.
